Setting up SMS

Enable text messages for confirmations, reminders, and updates.

SMS is a paid add-on. Once enabled, your customers receive text reminders alongside their email reminders, which dramatically reduces no-shows.

Turning SMS on

  1. Open Settings → Notifications → SMS.
  2. Click Enable SMS.
  3. You'll be guided through a short eligibility check (region, sender approval).
  4. Your subscription is updated to include the SMS add-on.
SMS pricing is per message and varies by destination country. See your billing page for the current rate, or Plans & pricing.

Sender approval (US)

US-bound SMS requires an approved sender (10DLC). Approval can take a few days. During the approval window, SMS sends fall back to email automatically — no manual action needed.

Customer consent

A customer is opted in for SMS when they provide a phone number on the booking form. The form clearly states they'll receive booking-related text messages. They can opt out any time by replying STOP — see STOP / HELP commands.

What gets sent by SMS

  • Booking confirmation (short version).
  • Reminder before the appointment.
  • Cancellation or reschedule notice.

Account events (password resets, invites) always go by email, never SMS. Marketing-style messages aren't sent through this channel.

Quiet hours

Reminder messages respect quiet hours in the recipient's local time. Time-sensitive messages (e.g. cancellations) send regardless.

Turning SMS off

Open the same settings page and click Disable SMS. Future messages fall back to email. The add-on is removed from your subscription on your next billing cycle.
