STOP and HELP keywords

How customers can opt out of SMS or get help by reply.

Customers can control SMS from their phone's message app by replying with standard keywords. These are required by mobile carriers and we honour them immediately.

STOP

Reply STOPto any SMS we send on behalf of a business and that customer is opted out of SMS for that business immediately. Future messages route to email instead, or are skipped if email isn't available.

Variants honoured: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT.

START / UNSTOP

To opt back in, reply START or UNSTOP. The customer gets a confirmation and SMS resumes for that business.

HELP

Reply HELP to get a short message back with the business name, the platform name (CoreBookin), and a support contact. This is also required by carriers.

Per-business scope

STOP only opts the customer out of SMS for the specific business they replied to. They'll still receive SMS from any other business they've booked with on CoreBookin. This matches how phone-keyword opt-out works elsewhere.

As a business owner

Opt-outs appear in your delivery logs as Suppressedwith the reason. You can't override an opt-out from the dashboard — the customer has to opt back in themselves.

Carrier costs

STOP / START / HELP replies from the customer don't cost them anything beyond their normal SMS plan. The system's automated reply (e.g. the HELP response) counts toward your SMS usage.
